Construction Administration

Plans and Specifications for construction projects are available for purchase from the District.  Refer to Notice to Bidders for costs, and other details. Requests for Plans and Specs can be processed as noted below. Download Request Form in Word or Adobe PDF

Prospective Bidders are advised that any contractor who is awarded a public works project and intends to use a craft or classification not shown on the general prevailing wage determinations, may be required to pay the wage rate of that craft or classification most closely related to it.  Refer to State Department of Industrial Relations for current general prevailing wage determinations.

Each proposal must be accompanied by cash, certified check,  cashier's check, or  bidder's bond in the sum of not less than 10 percent of the total aggregate of the proposal.  Checks and bonds must be made payable to the Santa Clara Valley Water District.  The bidders security may be considered by the District as liquidated damages if the successful bidder fails to file satisfactory bonds, as required by the contract documents, or fails or refuses to enter into a contract within the specified time.
