Small and Local Business Program

The Santa Clara Valley Water District is committed to increasing San Francisco Bay Area contractor, vendor and consultant participation in District projects. (Ordinance available for download - PDF 750 KB).

If your firm is headquartered or has a main office in the Bay Area, please register at our Contract Administration Web portal. This information will help the Contract Administration office to focus contracting outreach efforts to all segments of the community.

Businesses meeting the State of California criteria for Small/Micro Business certification:

• average gross receipts of $10 million or less in the previous three years
• principal office located in California
• complete details on-line in the CA Government Code section 14835-14843

are encouraged to obtain State certification and submit proof with their Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) package during the creation of the Qualified Consultant List.

The District encourages small and micro-businesses (as defined by section 14836-37 of the CA Government Code) to respond to RFPs.
