Valleywater@work in your neighborhood

One of the Santa Clara Valley Water District’s main missions is to protect residents, businesses and transportation networks from the devastating effects of floods. The water district has kept pace with the county’s growing population and economy, conducting levee repairs and sediment removal as part of its Stream Maintenance Program and constructing major flood protection projects. Since the early 1980s, the water district has invested more than half a billion dollars in flood protection programs, protecting more than 93,000 properties in previously flood-prone areas.
This page will link you to information on current capital projects throughout Santa Clara County and on routine stream maintenance activities for 2011.
